Curriculum Overview
The Carden curriculum is designed to address each child’s particular needs using a highly individualized approach. The curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, history, science, and geography. A cultural program engenders appreciation of art and music. A drama program affords participation for every student. A guidance program develops the student by awakening each child to ethical and social values.
All students in First through Eighth Grades will be tested annually in the spring for the Stanford Achievement Test (S.A.T). Test results provide parents and the school with an objective estimate of the student’s academic progress in the application of the fundamentals. Test results are sent home in the summer packet.
